Support Local Authors
If you're reading this, it probably means that you love books and the authors who write them! Support some local authors this year by dropping by for our Local Author Book Market, happening Saturday, December 3 from 2-4pm at our Downtown library (60 Worsley Street). 

Connect with local authors, hear their book talks on our main stage, and buy their latest titles - just in time for the holiday gift-giving season!

Downtown Landscaping Update
The concrete work at our Downtown Library is almost complete! Some bike racks have been installed in the front of the library; the gardens and landscaping may not be finished until the spring. No lock? No problem! Borrow a bike lock from the service desk for up to 4 hours.

The Barrie Public Library is so much more than just books! Our Creative Spaces give you access to tools and resources that allow your creative side to really soar.

Our Creative Spaces are self-directed, meaning anyone is welcome to come visit and experiment with new tools for free. We have tutorials and videos with instructions on how to use each tool, project ideas, and more. Bring a friend and learn together!
