June is National Indigenous History Month
Every June, Canada celebrates National Indigenous History Month. While this is an opportunity to honour the rich and diverse cultures, voices, experiences and histories of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people, it is important to recognize how far Canada still has to go in repairing relationships with Indigenous nations.

This June, we encourage Canadians to take part in learning and educating themselves on the strength, contributions, and sacrifices of Indigenous Peoples.

Volunteers play an integral role in the success of our festival each year. With more than 15 volunteer positions to choose from and hundreds of hours to fill, there are roles for anyone and everyone - from support on the docks, to site set-up or ensuring our event is as safe as possible.

It's a great opportunity for students to earn Community Service hours; up to 20 volunteer hours can be completed in just one weekend!
