We're extending our hours!

Beginning Saturday, September 4, we're moving back to our pre-pandemic hours. This includes the extended Sunday hours we launched early in 2020!

Back to school means homework is coming! Don't stress about finding an affordable tutor for your child - your library membership gets you access to an amazing new resource called Brainfuse HelpNow. 

BrainFuse HelpNow connects those who want to learn with experts who love to teach. Tutors include a mix of professional tutors, retired instructors, graduate students, and college faculty members. Over 80% of tutors have a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in their field!

Some highlights of Brainfuse HelpNow include: 

• LIVE online tutoring daily from 2-11pm
• Subjects covered include math, reading, writing, science, social studies, algebra, chemistry, physics and English
• Live tutoring available in English and French
• Resources and practice tests from Kindergarten to Post-Secondary
• Practice tests for EQAO and OSSLT
• Adult Learner resources including Microsoft Office support, career resources, Canadian Citizenship test prep and more

Another school year is upon us, and it looks like this year is also going to be a little different than usual. Let your library help you learn from home! We've compiled a variety of resources to help your child with homework, from Kindergarten all the way through to high school.

BPL Online Comic Con® is BACK!

Join us September 1 - 18, 2021 for BPL Online Comic Con®! This year we will be offering featured speaker videos and interactive Zoom meet-ups. Listen to keynote illustrators Zoe Si and Natasha Donovan share their career journeys and approaches to drawing and design. Visit our virtual Vendor Market to discover local authors and artisans. There's so much to see and do, we hope you'll join in on the fun!
