February is Black History Month
Black History Month, celebrated in February, marks an important time to reflect on the contributions of Black Canadians. While this month is special, our titles on Black history and culture are available every day at the library.
You're invited to Painswick Library's Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, February 8 from 10-10:45 am. Join local children's author Tricia Khan as she reads from her books and leads family activities to celebrate Black History Month.
We’re excited to announce a new addition to our collection this January: Decodable Read Alongs! These books combine narration with phonics to offer an engaging way for kids to read and build literacy skills.

Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to reflect on and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom. This year, it takes place from February 23 to March 1.
