Painswick Branch Refresh: Our New Look

We have exciting news! Our Painswick Branch is getting refreshed with new carpeting, shelving and furniture. Take a virtual tour of the new space.

From June 9 to 26, the Library’s services will be limited to pick up of holds (at the staff entrance), and returns through the book drop, while the work is ongoing inside.

Painswick Hours - June 9 to 26
Monday to Friday: 10am-5pm
Saturday: 12pm-5pm
Sunday: CLOSED

The Downtown Branch will continue to offer full curbside service including holds pick-up, retrieval of books and DVD’s, printing, and themed Grab Bags.

Painswick is expected to be able to reopen on June 28, offering the service level that is allowed under the Provinces’ Roadmap to Reopening plan.

Summer Reading Club Launches in June

Our Summer Reading Club for Kids & Teens is launching this month! We've got tons of fun programs, reading challenges, and activities planned for this year. It's a great way to get your family interested in reading - the more you read, the more you win!

Starting in July we're moving to a new monthly book recommendation platform! Subscribe to see the hottest new books each month based on your interests. From NYT Bestsellers to Fantasy or Thrillers, you're sure to find some great new reads to enjoy this summer.

Every June, Canada celebrates National Indigenous History Month. Start your learning journey here to help you mark this important month and National Indigenous Peoples Day by exploring more about the rich and diverse cultures, voices, experiences and histories of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Celebrate Audiobook Month!

June is a time to celebrate audiobooks! Whether you’re commuting, exercising, or doing chores, audiobooks are a great way to catch up on your favourite reads when you don’t have time to sit down to read a book. 

Access e-audiobooks through Hoopla, cloudLibrary, and AudioBookCloud.

Have you tried CloudLibrary yet?

CloudLibrary is your main source for e-audiobooks and e-books with over 120,000 titles to choose from. Browse titles for adults, teens, and kids and download to a mobile device, computer or e-reader. Search our online catalogue for titles the library owns or search through the mobile app or cloudLibrary website for a wider range of titles from our partner libraries.

Ontario's COVID-19 Vaccination Plan

Visit our Community Info Database to get current information about the vaccine roll-out in Ontario, including details on who is eligible, where vaccine clinics are located, and how to book an appointment. Check back often as this information is updated whenever new details are made available.
